Account Executive, mid-level
Sales · Buenos Aires, Argentina · Hybrid · Full time
Go to the application →You run your own book of new accounts end to end, from the first conversation to the signature.
Location
Buenos Aires. This is an employee role on the Argentine payroll, with the office in Núñez on Mondays and the rest of the week remote. With availability to travel within Latin America to industry conferences and to visit customers when the deal warrants it.
The role
We are looking for an Account Executive focused on closing new customers. You will run your own book of accounts end to end, from the first conversation to the signature, in private forestry, carbon projects, agriculture and energy, which are the segments where the system already sells.
You report to Armando Hernández, Sales Leader, and join a team of four Account Executives covering Latin America and the United States. The SDRs generate part of the pipeline, and the rest of the accounts you open yourself.
Your number is new business. Renewals and growth on the signed book belong to Customer Success, so you are not competing against your own base.
There is open pipeline and a sales process that is still being sharpened. What is missing is someone who works their book with steady follow-up and takes it to the close. The right person reads that as their own territory, not as an inherited problem.
What you will do
- Run your book of new accounts end to end. Your own prospecting, discovery, proposal, negotiation and signature.
- Sell to private forestry companies and landowners, carbon projects, agricultural producers and energy companies exposed to fire.
- Work the qualified opportunities the SDRs bring in, and open the accounts worth opening yourself.
- Represent SoF at conferences, trade fairs and industry events, and come back with opportunities logged and in context, not with a stack of business cards.
- Visit prospects and customers when the deal warrants it. Several of our sales unblocked in a face-to-face visit.
- Keep your book current in the CRM. Every account, every contact, every conversation logged, with the next step in place.
- Close what is not going anywhere as lost. A deal dropped on time is worth more than one left open for two years.
- Bring back what you hear out there. Objections, pricing, competitors and what language works in each industry.
Requirements
- 1 to 5 years as an Account Executive selling B2B SaaS, with your own closing quota.
- Quota attainment numbers you can explain and defend.
- Native Spanish.
- CRM discipline. You work off a loaded pipeline, not off memory.
- Command of LinkedIn Sales Navigator or an equivalent tool for research and prospecting.
- Availability to travel within Latin America.
Who we are looking for
- Closing is what moves you. You measure your week by what moved towards signature, not by how many meetings you had.
- You ask before you present. You understand how the customer operates before showing them the product.
- You run your book like your own business. You do not wait for someone to assign you accounts to get started.
- You take the no. A hard month does not break your week.
- You use AI as part of how you work. Research, meeting prep, call summaries, follow-up. AI multiplies your output, it does not replace your judgement.
- The problem makes you curious. You want to understand how fire behaves, why it matters to a forestry company and how an energy company looks at risk.
- Early-stage ambiguity sits fine with you. There is no perfect playbook waiting for you, and part of the job is writing it.
- You take feedback quickly and push back when you think we are wrong.
Bonus points
- Having sold into forestry, energy or agriculture.
- Having been one of the first commercial hires at a startup.
- Experience selling data, geospatial or connected hardware products such as cameras and sensors.
- Having worked a small-ticket, long-cycle book, in the range of USD 3,000 to 10,000 a year per account.
What we offer
- Compensation in USD with a variable tied to results.
- 15 working days of paid holiday.
- A mission with real consequences. The work contributes directly to saving lives, ecosystems and communities.
- A global team driven by protecting biodiversity, with hubs in the Americas and Europe.
- An employee role on the Argentine payroll, with the office in Núñez on Mondays and the rest of the week remote.
